Artificial Eyes
The Artificial Eye replaces the lost volume of the eye socket and restores a natural appearance and movement. It is fitted after enucleation or evisceration and made of high-quality acrylic material that adapts naturally to the body’s temperature and is resistant to environmental factors.
Purpose:
- Maintains eyelid shape and natural movement
- Retains facial muscle tone and symmetry
- Prevents foreign bodies and fluid accumulation in the socket

Cosmetic Shells
Cosmetic Shells are used to improve appearance in cases of a disfigured eye, where there is no medical risk in retaining the sightless eye Made of lightweight acrylic, these shells are thinner and lighter than full artificial eyes.
Types
- Transparent Sclera: Used when the sclera is healthy but the iris is damaged or discolored.
- Opaque Sclera: Used when both the sclera and iris are affected or post-evisceration.

Conformers
Conformers are used post-enucleation to maintain the shape of the conjunctival sac and fornices. They fit closely to the socket contour and feature drainage holes to allow discharge and medication access.
Uses
- Prevent conjunctival contraction or cul-de-sac shortening
- Used after chemical burns or traumatic avulsion
- Supports implants and reduces postoperative edema

Open Fornices Conformer (Symblepharon Ring)
